Poneva City in the Distance

A background I'm going to use in a picture I might finish in the foreseeable future. It looked decent so I figured I could upload it as a standalone. Might use it as a banner for my Fimfiction or Wattpad profile or something ... anyways, this is a picture of Poneva City, one of the settings in my Fallout: Equestra sidefiction, Rising Dawn.

I realized that I can't even see this picture while on my tablet (Galaxy Tab 2) because it's so dark. If that's the case for you as well on your mobile device, you'll definitely be able to see this on an HD supported pc monitor or somethin'. Because I can see this on my monitor without a problem.

Poneva city and its inhabitants were annihilated by a balefire bomb dropped by the Zebra Nation. A significant portion of the city has been reclaimed and resettled by ponykind and continues to be a center of trade in the north - now known as the Northern Wasteland.

The area closest to ground zero is known as the Inner City, which is home to mutants, ghouls, snow furies, and other abominations that make the inner city close to uninhabitable. Along with the radioactive hazards that plague the inner city the closer one travels to ground zero, there is also a mysterious 'darkness' that is beginning to take root within the city uninhabitable zone, further deterring any travelers or scavengers from entering. The Inner City is also haunted by Blast Shadows, which are all that remains of the ponies who died near ground zero.

The area that has been resettled and reclaimed by ponykind is known as the Outer City, a crescent shaped territory that covers many of Poneva's important districts, such as the Bank, Market, and Factory districts, among many others. It is here where some semblance of civilization has been allowed to thrive, and is home to many of the Northern Wastes' myriad factions, such as the East Eden Company , the Palomino Mafia , and the Orphanage, among many others.

Fallout: Equestria - Rising Dawn

    When the bombs fell, the North was not reborn in spellfire. It was reborn in darkness. 200 years ago, the Crystal Empire kept at bay the nightmares of the Frozen North. But when balefire scoured their lands, the floodgates parted and an inexplicable, aberrant darkness fell upon the Northern Wasteland.

    As the world above plunged into perpetual twilight, the ponies of Stable 91 slept peacefully beneath the snow. But their sheltered lives could never have lasted forever. Time could only tell when their systems would shutdown, or their water became impure … or worse.

    In the Northern Wasteland, a broken water talisman is the least of anypony's problems - for outside those doors, only darkness awaits.
